Both new and current customers may need to enable various transaction kinds and activate their ICICI debit card. This page explains how to activate your ICICI Bank debit card for the first time, as well as how to use it for contactless, international, and internet transactions.
Methods for Activation:
Using the iMobile App:
- Install the [iMobile app] on your smartphone after downloading it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
- Launch the app, then sign in using your fingerprint, four-digit PIN, or internet banking user ID and password.
- Select Services > Card PIN Services > Debit Card PIN Generation.
- From the drop-down boxes, choose your debit card number and account number.
- Input your card’s CVV number and expiration date.
- Click the Submit button.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number you provided.
- After entering the OTP, click “Submit.”
- Choose a four-digit PIN and make sure it works.
- Click the Submit button.
- An online transaction will be enabled for your ICICI debit card.
Using Internet Banking:
- Enter your online banking user ID and password to log in when you visit the [ICICI Bank website https://www.icicibank.com/].
- Go to Debit and ATM Cards under Cards & Loans.
- Choose “Generate Pins” under the “Service Request” section.
- From the drop-down boxes, choose your debit card number and account number.
- Enter the card’s expiration date and CVV, which is the three-digit number on the back of the card.
- Press the “Submit” button.
- An OTP (one-time password) will be sent to the registered mobile number.
- After entering the OTP, select “Submit.”
- Choose a four-digit PIN and make sure it works.
- Press the “Submit” button.
- An online transaction will be enabled for your ICICI debit card.
Using ICICI ATM:
- Place your ICICI debit card in the slot at any nearby [ICICI Bank ATM].
- Choose your language and enter the green PIN, which is the six-digit number you received by SMS when you received your card, or your current PIN, if you have one.
- To generate an OTP, select More Options > Generate PIN.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number you provided.
- After entering the OTP, hit Enter.
- Choose a four-digit PIN and make sure it works.
- Input Enter.
- An online transaction will be enabled for your ICICI debit card.
Using Customer Care:
- Provide your card information when you call the ICICI customer service hotline.
- Make a request to activate your card’s online transactions.
- Please confirm your identity and supply the required data.
