How to Block Your Kotak ATM Card: A Step-by-Step Guide

In order to enable both online and offline users to block their ATM card in the event of an emergency, such as a loss or forgetfulness, Kotak Mahendra Bank established Debit Card Block methods. Bank customers can quickly block their debit cards using the techniques indicated below.

Blocking Methods:

Net Banking:

  • Visit https://www.kotak.com/en/home.html to access Kotak’s Internet Banking using your User ID and Passcode.
  • Navigate to the dashboard, select “Debit Card,” and then select the “Deactivate/Activate” Card button.
  • After selecting your debit card and selecting “Report Lost Card/Permanent Block,” click “Submit” to complete the process.

(If you misplaced your card or decide you no longer want to use it, you can select Permanently Block.)
(After blocking your previous debit card, you can obtain a new one. You can obtain a new card by submitting an online application.)

Mobile Banking App:

Using the mobile banking feature to handle debit card services online is advantageous. Blocking or unblocking ATM Card services to Stop at Marchent shops, Online, ATM Centers, Tap on Pay, and other pertinent card services are all made possible by the Kotak app. (Download for iOS or Android)

To block your Kotak Bank ATM card, just follow these easy instructions.

  • Launch the Kotak Bank Mobile Banking app, then log in using your MPIN and user ID.
  • Choose the “Debit Card” widget located on the account’s dashboard.
  • Next, choose the status “Stolen/Lost” and click “Report Card Loss.”
  • Debit card from Kotak Bank blocked right away.

The actions required:

  1. Contact Kotak Mahindra Bank Customer Care
  2. Verify Identity
  3. Provide Reason for Blocking
  4. Block the Card

You can ask Kotak Mahindra Bank for a replacement card after disabling the ATM card. You will receive a new ATM card from Kotak Mahindra Bank that is connected to the same account as the old one. To obtain the new ATM card, you will need to present personal identity documents.

Visiting a Branch:

If none of the aforementioned methods work for you, you can request ATM Card Block at any Kotak Mahindra bank in your area to unlock your ATM card. Your request to block and issue new cards will be reviewed by the branch’s helpdesk officer.
