HDFC Bank signed an agreement (MoU) with the Indian Air Force through the office of the Assistant Chief of Air Staff – Accounts & Air Veterans, and CSC Academy to start Project HAKK (Hawai Anubhavi Kalyan Kendra). The MoU was signed by senior officials from HDFC Bank, Indian Air Force, and CSC Academy, including Air Marshal PK Ghosh and Ms. Smita Bhagat from HDFC Bank. Under the bank’s Parivartan programme, the focus will be on helping defence veterans and their families become economically independent.
Key Points of Project HAKK (Hawai Anubhavi Kalyan Kendra)
– The project aims to provide support to defence pensioners, veterans, and their families by offering essential services and skill development.
– The bank plans to open 25 centres across various IAF locations, including New Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Secunderabad, Guwahati, and more.
– In partnership with CSC Academy, the bank will offer training in financial products and services, helping veterans and their families become financially independent.
– Veterans and their families can access over 500 services, such as Aadhaar, PAN Card, passport, bill payments, and more.
– Service centres will also assist veterans with pension-related issues and offer access to HDFC Bank’s financial products and digital banking services.
HDFC Bank emphasized its commitment to the welfare of veterans, stating that the initiative will provide better access to services and support for IAF veterans and their families. Staff managing these service centres will receive training and a monetary grant for the first year.
