Six Armed Men Rob Bank Near Jabalpur, Flee With Gold and Cash

A major bank robbery took place this morning near Jabalpur, in the Khitola area, at around 11 AM.

Riding three motorcycles, six armed robbers arrived at the Isaf Small Finance Bank and carried out the heist. To avoid identification, they wore helmets that covered their faces. CCTV footage captured at least four of them walking into the bank one after another.

Once inside, they waited and watched for a while before pulling out guns and threatening the bank staff. The robbers forced the employees to give them the keys of the lockers. They quickly stole 14.8 kilograms of gold (worth over Rs 14.8 crore) and Rs 5.7 lakh in cash, stuffing it into bags before escaping.

At the time, there were six employees in the bank, including the manager. There was no security guard present, possibly due to recent schedule changes for the festive season.

Police officer Suryakant Sharma confirmed the total amount stolen. He said the police have registered a case, collected CCTV footage, and are confident they’ll catch the robbers soon. Crime Branch teams have been deployed, and police have sealed nearby district borders. Surrounding districts like Katni, Mandla, and Dindori have also been alerted. Police are checking CCTV footage from the area to find out where the robbers went.
