Loss of Rs11.17 crore , Bank Accounts Frozen, ED Initiated Investigation

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) filed an FIR in Gandhinagar against M/S Lompire, M/S Invert Triangle and their partners.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) initiated investigation against firms M/S Lompire, M/S Invert Triangle and their partners. The accused are charged to commit illegal activities like stealing, cheating, making fake documents which caused a loss of Rs 11.17 crore to Bank of India and Temple Tree Investment Private Ltd but accused made a profit of same amount.

During investigation CBI analysed the bank account statement of the beneficiaries to investigate how the illegally obtained money was used. This helped them to build a case of money laundering under the Provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED seized a property of Rs 34 lakh of M/S Lompire and other partners. ED carried out searches around 10 locations in Gujarat and Maharashtra where they seized gold of Rs 8.90 lakh, cash of Rs 1.83 lakh and documents related to wrongdoings. ED has also frozen bank accounts with a balance of Rs 9.2 lakh.

The investigation is ongoing and is expected to take more legal action against the accused. ED aims is to crack down on financial fraud and money laundering.
