JPMorgan Appoints Jerry Lee as Global Chair of Investment Banking

JPMorgan, one of the biggest bank in U.S.A appointed Jerry Lee as the Global Chair of Investment Banking which means he’ll be helping lead their investment banking business all around the world. Jerry Lee, is a very experienced banker in the field.

Jerry Lee used to work at Goldman Sachs, another big bank, for almost 20 years where he held senior roles leading teams that advised companies in the healthcare and biopharmaceutical sectors on major financial transactions. He has advised companies on deals worth over $300 billion involving mergers and acquisitions (where one company buys or merges with another).

JPMorgan and other banks make a lot of money by helping companies merge, raise money, or go public (like selling stock). Right now, the industry is hopeful that deal-making will increase soon, especially in 2026, as the economy gets better and interest rates drop.

By bringing in someone as skilled as Jerry Lee, JPMorgan is preparing for more business ahead and hopes to take advantage of the expected increase in dealmaking.
