Australian and UK green hydrogen projects are now being funded through a joint funding call.

This program supports research, development and demonstration of renewable hydrogen technologies and their applications for decarbonizing industry and transportation.

Both Australia and the UK are dedicated to achieving net zero.

The Joint Call will help them reach their goals for industrial decarbonization. It might also open up new trade routes in the future.

These joint projects will benefit from funding matched by Innovate UK. The funding will be leveraging co-contributions from both Australian and UK proponents.

There will be a variety of hydrogen-related projects supported, including the production of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives, the use of hydrogen in hard-to-abate industries and heavy transport.

In a single funding cycle, Australian grantees will receive grants of up to $2 million.

A collaborative initiative between the applicant and a UK partner is required. The UK partner will apply to Innovate UK for matched funding.
