AU Small Finance Bank, on the path to becoming a Universal Bank has announced it will open 51 new branches across India on August 15, 2025, which is the country’s 79th Independence Day.
Out of these 30 branches will handle regular banking services like savings accounts, deposits, loans, payments, and insurance and remaining 21 branches will focus on helping small businesses and people who don’t have easy access to banks, especially in rural or lower-income areas. These are called Microfinance & Inclusive Banking (MFIB) branches.
Bank said that these new branches will offer a full suite of financial services, including deposits, payments, collection solutions, trade finance, insurance, investment products, and advanced digital banking. The bank will offer a full range of financial services, including help and support for small and micro-enterprises.
The new branches will be opened in states like West Bengal, Gujarat, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu. The bank wants to expand its reach and provide better financial services especially in digital banking, trade finance, and investment options to more people, especially those who need it the most.
