From July 1 to September 30, 2025, banks across India are running a special campaign in villages (Gram Panchayats) to help people access financial services. It aims for
- Complete saturation of Financial Inclusion (FI) schemes in all Gram Panchayats nationwide.

Includes re-KYC of bank accounts, awareness about unclaimed deposits, and grievance redressal.
The Government and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) are keeping a close watch on the progress. As of August 11, 2025 over 1.41 lakh camps have been organized nationwide, and Re-KYC has been completed for more than 35 lakh accounts.
Government Initiatives To support the campaign
– RBI Governor Shri Sanjay Malhotra visited a camp in Gozaria Gram Panchayat, Mehsana, Gujarat on August 11, 2025. The MD & CEO of Bank of Baroda, Regional Director, RBI and other senior bank officials from different banks were also present. Performed various activities during visit such as:
- The Governor spoke about the need for better cooperation between banks, RBI, and local communities to ensure everyone gets access to banking services and government financial schemes.
- He interacted with customers, business correspondents, Self Help Groups, and bank officials.
- Also highlighted the importance of enhancing accessibility of banking services and wider coverage of FI schemes.
– Earlier on August 8, 2025, Deputy Governor Shri M Rajeshwar Rao visited a camp in Ormanjhi, Ranchi and checked the progress on re-KYC. Regional Director of RBI and senior bank officials were also present.
– On August 9, 2025, Deputy Governor Shri Swaminathan J visited a camp in Thirukandalam, Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. Senior officials from Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, and the District Collector were also present.
These camps will continue in all Gram Panchayats till September 30, 2025. All bank customers are encouraged to visit the camps and take advantage of the services being offered. Bank customers are advised to complete re-KYC, enroll in social security schemes and share their complaints so they can be solve it quickly.
