Citibank has given Kaustubh Kulkarni a big new job as co-head of its investment banking team. He’ll be in charge of the business in countries like Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, and other parts of Asia. He’s joining Citibank from another big bank, JPMorgan, and will be working out of Singapore.
Two other people, Vikram Chavali and Deepak Dangayach, have also been given important roles at the bank.
Citibank’s investment banking business is doing well — it made 15% more money in the second quarter of the year compared to the same time last year.
