Canara Bank Managing Director and CEO, K Satyanarayana Raju, in a telephonic interview with Anupreksha Jain of Business Standard, said that the bank plans to recruit individuals who are proficient in local languages. Currently, proficiency in local languages has become a key focus in the hiring strategies of state-owned banks. Earlier, Bank of Baroda and State Bank of India had also recruited officers with proficiency in local languages.
