United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) announced that a adjourned conciliation meeting took place today morning. UFBU said that the meeting was based on our demands and issues. The positive discussion took place in the presence of Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and Department of Financial Services (DFS) and assured that they will look on the matter seriously. Further Chief Labour Commissioner (CLC) informed that he will directly monitor the issues including the implementation of 5 days banking.
The meeting will be held again in the third week of April. Thus the strike which was supposed to be on 24th and 25th March is postponed.
Soon UFBU will issue the detailed circular.
