Arun Khurana, Deputy CEO of IndusInd Bank Resigned on Monday

On April 28, 2025 Arun Khurana, Deputy CEO and Whole-Time Director of IndusInd Bank, resigned from the post. His resignation comes after a discrepancy of Rs 1979 crore reported In IndusInd Bank derivatives portfolio. In his resignation letter, He stepped down saying he wanted to take responsibility for the issues as part of senior management and offered to help during the transition to a new Deputy CEO. His resignation comes after the bank’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Gobind Jain, also left in January.

He resigned after the bank announced that its board would take action to hold people accountable for the mistakes found in its derivatives business. The bank said it would also review and adjust the roles of senior leaders. Earlier, on March 10, the bank had found some serious accounting problems and hired an outside firm to investigate. The firm looked into what caused the issues, where the failures happened, and who was responsible.
