Thieves broke into a Bank of Baroda branch in Ajmer by breaking through the roof and targeted the locker room, stealing valuables kept inside several lockers. The incident occurred at the Bank of Baroda branch in Sawar.

According to initial findings, the criminals used cutting machines and other tools to break the roof and cut iron rods. A cutter and other equipment were found lying on the roof, indicating that heavy machinery was used during the crime.

After receiving information, the Sawar police and Kekri Circle Officer Harshit Sharma reached the spot and began the investigation. Nearby CCTV footage is being examined, and a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) also visited the scene to collect evidence.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Meel said that the police are still identifying which lockers were broken and what valuables were stolen. He suspects the involvement of a well-organized gang, as the thieves even left their machines behind. The theft is believed to have taken place on Saturday or Sunday night, taking advantage of the weekend closure of the bank.

The incident came to light on Monday morning when bank employees arrived at the branch and noticed signs of forced entry. The thieves first broke the roof, then cut iron bars using an electric cutter before entering the locker room.

Police confirmed that the cash kept in the bank is completely safe. The exact quantity of gold, silver, or other valuables stolen will be determined only after the locker holders visit the bank and verify their belongings. The bank management has informed all affected customers, and the police continue to investigate the case by analyzing CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
